From Healthcare to Hospitality:

Craig and Glenda's Culinary Journey

In 2014 after purchasing a house in Newport News, Craig and Glenda's realtor gave them a gift card to the Skrimp Shack in Yorktown. That is where they met the owners Mitch and Stacey and fell in love with the food. In 2015 after Carmen opened a location by there house, they stopped in and met her and started to enjoy the atmosphere and food. Growing up, Craig can remember his father always wanting to open a restaurant to help out the community and leave a legacy for his boys. Unfortunately he was never able to do so, so in 2023 Craig decided to leave his nursing career and Glenda her surgical tech career to chase the dream of owning our own business. In 2024 that dream came true with the purchase of the Jefferson Ave location from carmen. And the rest is History!
